PERFORMER'S CLUB

What is it?

Performer’s Club is a non-competitive educational performance that will provide any student currently studying music at Darren’s Music Place the opportunity to perform for an audience. Each student may choose their own repertoire (with consultation from their teacher) to play on Piano, Organ, Keyboard, Guitar, Bass or Drums. Duet and Ensemble playing is encouraged.

Where is it?

Grosvenor Park United Church

  • Corner of Cumberland Avenue and 14th Street

Why?

Students do not have enough opportunity to play for a live audience. Performer’s Club will assist students with tips on public performing and how to deal with the many pitfalls that can happen during live performances.

Requirements:

1. Must be a student enrolled at Darren’s Music Place.

2. Be willing to perform at least two times during the 2008-2009 term.

3.Complete Registration Form and submit annual fee to Darren’s Music Place.

4. Sign up four weeks prior to the PC date - sign up sheets are posted on the PC board outside the office door.

Performer’s Club Fee: $5.00  

(This is an annual fee, not for every performance)

Upon successful completion of the above requirements,

students will receive a Performer’s Club pin.
